How to use help validator in the plugin

The feature helps you to propose correct prefix or suffix according to a selected control in Figma.

How to apply one?

This functionality is available in both free and PRO versions.

Select your control in Figma without any prefix and go to the help tab. You will see the list of suggested prefixes and suffixes.

Choose the one you want to use in Suggested Prefix and Suffix, see the resulting name and click on the “Apply suggestions“ button.

How to apply multiple?

This functionality is only available in PRO version!!!

Select your control in Figma without any prefix, and click on the “Apply all“ button located at the bottom of the plugin.

List of available prefixes

The list of available prefixes of classic controls:

  • addMedia = Component for adding Picture

  • audio = Audio Player

  • barcode = Barcode Reader

  • bar = Bar Chart

  • btn = Button

  • ci = Circle

  • combo = Combo Box

  • cont = Manual Layout Container

  • dim = 3D Object

  • dropdown = Drop Down

  • ex = Export

  • fluid = Scrollable fluid grid component with blank card

  • form = Edit Form

  • gall = Vertical Gallery

  • gr = Group component includes multiple controls

  • horgall = Horizontal Gallery

  • html = HTML Text

  • check = Check Box

  • qPie = Pie chart

  • qRadar = Radar chart

  • qRadial = Radial Gauge chart

List of available Suffixes

From version 5.4 you can see in help tab a new section supported suffixes.

  • _fw - control will have fixed width visualised in YAML code

  • _fh - control will have fixed height visualised in YAML code

  • _fix - control will have fixed width & height visualised in YAML code

  • _res - control will have responsive width & height visualised in YAML code
